dapper dudes. *sunday with my boys*

*dapper dudes:lee+papa*

Lee is looking and acting more and more grown up everyday it seems like. I can't believe he's only a month away from turning one.  We are having so much fun with our little Lee Boy.  (even on sunday...even though three hours of church is a lot for an eleven month old to handle...at least he's cute while he's at it)
Here are some pics from our Sunday that I couldn't resist sharing:

walking on sunshine.

I've probably said it before but, this winter has been a hard one for me.  It has felt so long and frozen and cold.  You'd think growing up almost my entire life in Utah I would be used to or at least tolerant of winters by now...not so much.

So when we had a week of sunshine and warmth, I (we) rejoiced.  I soaked up the rays of sunshine every chance I got.  I don't think Lee even remembers what outside or sunshine is.  I loved being able to take him out on walks everyday and take him to the park to try out the slide for the first time.  (he was actually pretty indifferent to the whole experience but I'm sure he'll warm up to it.)
This week is hopefully full of some of the same sunshine that is so good for my soul.  Here's to sunshine.
Happy Monday!

catch the sunshine. (while you can.)

Kevin and I decided to make the most of a sunny Saturday a few weeks ago. I have had intense "cabin fever" this winter and I just couldn't stay inside when the sun was actually shining and the inversion was *momentarily* gone.
We went to a favorite walk spot near our house called Dripping Rock.  It's a little nature walk along a stream  that has a spring flow into it from the east side (down the mountain) thus making the rocks along the east side "drip".
Our walk was actually completely covered in snow but we decided to do it anyway.  It was great.  It's been so long since Lee has been outside for any substantial amount of time that it tends to kind of daze him.  Ha, poor winter boy.  All the "drips" were frozen into icicles, which looked pretty rad.  Mostly I'm just glad we got out while we could. :) (can't wait for spring)
*the frozen "drips"*

He had basically this same expression the whole time.

I couldn't blame him, it was really bright.
