"mocc" your world: freshly picked moccasins || versatile, crazy-happy footwear for your little guy or gal.

So, Freshly Picked moccasins, have you heard of them??
They are <<hands-down>> my favorite brand of moccasins out there and I've recently had a chance to do a review for them+ I also got to do a little photo shoot of my Lee boy(who doesn't like to snap pics of their kids?)= yep, one happy Mama. :)

My TOP reasons why Freshly Picked will <mocc> your world:

1. craftsmanship: these little gems are put together so well and thick,  high-quality leather is used.

2. comfort: my nearly-two year old is PICKY when it comes to footwear (I know, for real?) and he didn't tiptoe around or complain even the first time we slipped these on his feet.

3. design: the design is very well thought out, the elastic opening allows for easy admittance of my kiddos' little pudgy feet but stays in place well for skinny little feet too.

4. versatility: they have so many rad color options, so you could easily fill a closet with them, not to mention they dress up and down fabulously.

5. color POP: many of the FP color choices are bright and bold. (if you know me well, you know how well that suits me)
Don't worry they have lots of traditional options too. :)

^my two cents about wearing bold colors:^
*If buying a bold clothing piece isn't super comfortable go with a color you know you love, chances are you'll have tons of pieces that go really well with it.
*Don't hesitate to try lots of combos and not just the same old "tried and true" combo.

For those a bit more cautious and questioning when it comes to bold/colorful statement pieces...
...I did some styling with some cherry Freshly Picked moccs on Lee Boy to show just how VERSATILE a *pop* of color can be.

Our Freshly Picked moccasins have definitely rocked our moccasin world, you will LOVE them.

family pictures. nov.2013

Man is it ever hard to try and get family pictures taken with "two under two".
As if having two babies wasn't enough, Drew came down with a cold and fever the morning we were getting them taken, the weather became uncommonly cold, i.e. sleeting rain off and on and Drew managed to spit up all over himself before we even got one shot. When it rains it pours, eh?

But somehow our photographer was able to get some wonderful shots of our family in spite of everything working against her.

some days are a little like a dream...

...This Valentine's Day was one of those days.
We've never been big celebrators in the more commercial ways, with fancy gifts, treats, flowers or dinners.  Actually this was the first time since we've know each other that we went out to eat and it was fun (and delicious) to do something out of the ordinary as a family even though there were moments when it was a bit stressful taking "two under two" out to lunch on the craziest restaurant day of the year. (We only had one couple request to sit somewhere else) But goodnight, it was such a perfect day.

It was full of all those things that make it hard to have anything go wrong; Kevin had the day off, the weather was sunny and warm,  the boys were both healthy and happy and everyone was pretty thrilled to be together.  We strolled around the city center where we live, Kevin went for a ride while I played with the boys outside, we walked to a park and just spent time together, without trying to get a million other things done, and it was just what I needed.  It was one of the best days I've had in a long time.  Talk about a perfectly love-ly (bah!) day.
